Why study maths?

Almost without us being aware of it, we all use Mathematics in some form in every day of our lives.  It could be something as simple as checking your change in a supermarket, estimating how many tins of paint you will need to decorate a room or calculating whether or not you will reach your destination in time.

In mathematics lessons we learn not just the skills to complete those tasks and more, but also how to effectively solve complex problems using our mathematical skills.   It is not possible to predict all of the mathematical skills that each person will use in their lifetime (we are all different), but students who have studied GCSE mathematics should have a basic foundation on which they can build in whatever career path they chose to follow.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
